This notice explains how we process the personal data of visitors to www.holidayhouseravello.it, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003.

What this notice covers. Here we describe the data processed through this website: browsing, the contact and enquiry forms, cookies and statistics. The processing that arises from your booking and stay — guest registration and the mandatory reports to the public security authorities, tourist tax, payments and invoicing — is described in the notice the property provides when you book and on arrival.

What data we process

Browsing data

Like any website, the systems running this site record some technical data (IP address, browser, pages requested, date and time). This is needed for the site to work securely and is deleted by the hosting provider according to its technical schedules.

Data you send us

If you fill in the contact form you give us your name, email, phone number (optional), travel dates, number of guests and your message. The same applies if you email us, message us on WhatsApp or call us.

Statistics

We use Matomo, installed on a server in Italy, which collects aggregated information about how the site is used, without cookies. Details are in the Cookie Policy.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Answering enquiries and managing bookings: pre-contractual measures or performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Legal obligations related to your stay, such as registering guests with the police and tax requirements: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
  • Third-party content (Google Maps): consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time. Visit statistics with Matomo, without cookies and with a shortened IP, rely instead on the legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f)): you can object from the banner.
  • Website security: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Providing the form data is optional, but we cannot reply without your name and email.

Who we share data with

  • the hosting and email provider, acting as data processor;
  • Google Ireland Ltd, only if you have consented to statistics or maps;
  • public authorities, where required by law.

If you book through the Bed-and-Breakfast.it portal, that service processes your data as an independent controller under its own privacy notice. Your data is never sold or used for advertising.

Transfers outside the European Union

Google may process data in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

  • enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 24 months;
  • booking data and accounting records: for the period required by tax law (10 years);

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, rectify or erase your data, restrict processing, receive your data in a portable format or object to processing (Arts. 15-22 GDPR), and withdraw any consent given, by writing to info@holidayhouseravello.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or the authority of your country.

Security

The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and the contact form is protected against spam. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, although no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes

This notice may be updated: the date of the latest change is shown at the top.
